June 3 - 5, 2011 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The 40th anniversary of the first graduating class of the Aircraft Maintenance Program was a success.  Over 50 people were in attendance including Bob Marsonet and Bob Byerely from the Class of 1971.  Alumni from as far away as Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan made the trip to see old friends, make new friends and reminisce "the good ole days".

There was a general feeling that we should do this again in 5 years.  Mark your calendars, in 2016 we will have the 45th anniversary.  Any suggestions for time of year and events will gladly be accepted.  dgreer@confederationc.on.ca

One special presentation was made during the weekend to Helen Kyle and John Duke, coordinator for the Aircraft Maintenance Program.  The Class of 1979 which included Jeff Cooke, Peter Vis, Dick Wolff and Tom Kobayashi presented a painting to the college in honour of Ron Kyle.  The Class of 79 encourages all members from this class to stop by the Aviation Center and sign the back of the painting.

We have some t-shirts still for sale from the reunion.  Available in M: 3 navy, 4 grey, L: 1 navy, 8 grey, 2XL: 2 grey.  Proceeds from the t-shirt sales will help send two students to the Ontario Skills Competition for aircraft maintenance, in Kitchener/Waterloo next May.  Price $15 each.  Shipping is extra if required, send me an email.
