Architectural Technology

The Architectural Technologist is a vital member of the building team. Using specialized tools (CAD), you will be trained to participate in all phases of a building project. These phases include: conceptual design, presentation drawings, working drawing development, construction planning and costing, material procurement, and finally construction management.

NOTE: The next potential intake for this program will be in Fall, 2014.

Architects, engineers, contractors and other members of the building industry have indicated a definite need for trained technical personnel, such as the Architectural Technologist, to assist them in meeting the continuing demands of construction in today's building industry.

You would become well-versed with a solid knowledge of building construction with design ability in the architectural and structural disciplines, working drawing production, computer applications, building specifications and codes. This is an exciting field that offers you the opportunity to be a part of the shaping of towns and cities we live in!
