Full-TimeNow going to college full-time doesn't have to mean leaving town. Confederation College offers full-time programs in Business, Health & Community Services, Trades & Technology, and Access Programs you can take in your community, or from your own home. To learn more visit your local campus. The Centre for Continuing Education (CE) offers both full-time and part-time courses to students both inside and outside of Thunder Bay. Many are designed to work around your busy schedule. Depending on the course and your home community, students can choose how they want to learn: Classroom, Online Learning, Virtual College or Distance Education. |
Part-TimeConfederation College offers flexible part-time courses designed to meet the needs of students who need to put work and family first. When you want: Evenings, weekends, or on your own computer 24/7 Where you want: Thunder Bay, your local campus, your home community in northwestern Ontario, or from your home. How you want: Classroom, Online Learning, Virtual College, Self Study or Distance Education are available - see below. |
Your Study Options
Continuing Education offers most courses through several different learning options described below.
- Classroom - Confederation College offers most classes through traditional classroom settings, either through our regional campuses, or in Thunder Bay. Evening and weekend classes are available. Check for current availability.
- Online Learning - This online learning environment allows students to take courses on their own computer 24/7, while adhering to the course structure and established course deadlines. Instructors are accessible via a number of electronic communication tools, such as e-mail, course chats, and discussion boards.
- Virtual College - Students can participate in "LIVE" e-classes via Internet connection from their own home. The powerful system allows two-way communication with the classroom allowing students to listen, speak, and see visual materials including PowerPoint presentations, an electronic whiteboard, and other images.
- Distance Education (DE) - Students across northwestern Ontario can participate in specified classes via Internet connection in real time via software-enhanced audio and video conferencing technology available from any regional campus or Contact North access site.
