eLearning

eLearning is a type of self study format where course information and assignments, as well as communication with the instructor and fellow students are accessed through your own computer and Internet Service provider.


Course instruction is provided online and you may be required to purchase a text and software, if applicable. Courses are offered in three semesters:  Fall (September start), Winter (January start) and Spring (May start) and some courses are also available by monthly intake (MI) - start date is the first business day of the month.   Tests are written at a Testing/Learning Centre.

Over 900 courses are available and many courses are equivalent to Confederation College credit courses.

Spring Semester 2010 starts Friday, May 14, 2010  

Winter Monthly Intake (MI) start dates:   March 1 and April 1 and Spring Monthly intake start dates are June 1, July 2 and August 3. 

Note:  Registration for eLearning courses is only open for 6 days after the start date of the course.

Diabetes Education (pdf)

This post graduate certificate program offers a firm foundation in current clinical approaches to diabetes education. It is designed for Registered Nurses and Registered Dieticians who wish to specialize in the field of diabetes education. This program is an excellent step towards certification with the Canadian Diabetes Association as a Certified Diabetes Educator. To receive an application for this program, contact our office (807) 475-6550.   Health Care Professionals are welcome to take the first 4 theory courses but would not be eligible for the Fieldwork component. Individual certificates will be issued for the 4 theory courses upon successful completion.

  • Completed WSIB form
  • Proof of current immunization (including a TB 2 step skin test)

Home Inspection (pdf)

This program provides an opportunity to enter an exciting and growing profession. Home inspection is a consulting service that helps homebuyers make informed decisions about their prospective new home.

This program is approved by the Association of Home Inspectors and incorporates the Standards of Practice of ASHI/CAHPI (American Society of Home Inspectors/Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors). Standards of Practice define a minimum and uniform standard for private, fee-paid home inspectors.
