The Community Integration through Cooperative Education (CICE) program is designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities and other learning challenges. This program provides you with an opportunity to enhance academic and social skills by offering the required supports in and out of the classroom. The CICE program enables you to develop vocational abilities in a number of career-related, supervised field placement experiences. You have the exciting opportunity to complete a program with courses tailored through the modification process to fit your academic abilities.
You will have the support of learning specialists/tutors who will attend classes with you, if required, and provide follow-up study skills and test preparation and delivery.
Career Highlights
Graduates of the CICE program will find a variety of entry level jobs depending on their area of concentration. For example:
- a student who has taken courses in the Culinary Management program may become a kitchen assistant.
- a student who has taken courses in Office Administration may become a secretarial assistant, a file clerk, or a mailroom attendant.
