On May 13. 2005 the graduating class of Chef Apprentice left for a 10 day trip to Paris, France.

The students raised 100% percent of the cost through their FFTO (Friday Food Take Out), gourmet dinners, Caribou Brunch and special functions.

While in Paris each student experienced and worked in a Parisian restaurant for up to 3 days. They worked at Paris' top Michelin 3-Star Rated establishments like "Tailevent", "La Tour d'Argent", and "Arpege". Some worked in world famous chef Jean-George Vongerichten's "Market Restaurant" and Sir Terrance Conran's "Alcazar Restaurant" along with a 2-star establishment called "Restaurant Drouant" that has an award winning pastry chef.

They also experienced a full day cooking class at ADF (Alain Ducasse Formation) a cooking school for professionals. Some of the items on the menu that day were  " Mediterranean red mullet with ligurian olives, oven dried tomatoes, scallions and lettuce hearts" and Saddle of rabbit stuffed with herbs, zucchini and flowers." Alian Ducasse in the only chef that owns TWO 3 star restaurants , one in Paris and one in Monaco. He also is involved in other Parisian restaurants, one we experienced is Bistro "Aux Lyonnaise" for a group dinner.

We toured the open food markets of Paris and a kitchen store that has been equipping chef's since 1820.

An option was to see Lucianno Pavarotti in concert while there.

And of course there was plenty of time to tour the Eiffle Tower, the Louvre, Norte-Dame, Sacre Coeur and stroll down the Champs Elysees.
