Program Coordinator, Bonnie Rikkonen RECE.ECE,C BA/BEd Professor

Bonnie is a graduate of the Early Childhood Education Program at Confederation College and has received a Bachelor of Education degree from Lakehead University. She has taught in the Early Childhood Education program for the past 26 years and has completed specialized training in Montessori education from the Canadian Montessori Institute. Most recently Bonnie participated in a unique professional development opportunity teaching Early Childhood Education at Lianyungang College, China.

Regional & DE Program Coordinator, Leila Daciw RECE. ECE,C Professor

Leila has been a professor in the Early Childhood Education program for 25 years. She graduated from the ECE program at Confederation College and was involved in a number of diverse roles as an early childhood educator prior to her faculty role.

Anita Broere RECE. ECE, C  Professor Early Childhood Education

Anita is a graduate of the Early Childhood Education Program at Confederation College and has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 25 years prior to joining the College faculty.

In her role as an Early Childhood Educator Anita's experiences include working directly with children and families as a lab school teacher with the Children and Family  Centre and the development and supervision of two Rural Childcare Programs.  Anita has also worked as a consultant with Aborginal groups, as a researcher for a National Child Care Project.  and  the Director of Day Services for an Adult Support Program in the community.

Most recently Anita spent a month teaching ECE students in Lianyungang, China as part of the college's International Projects.
