The Educational Assistant Program prepares you to work under the supervision of a professional in a variety of educational settings with children of diverse abilities and backgrounds. You will acquire skills as a member of an educational team and learn to perform the duties of an educational assistant in an ethical and professional manner while maintaining a safe environment for the children. The program gives you specific strategies and techniques to assist children who experience cognitive, physical, social/emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will gain practical experience through two field placements. With Confederation College, you can get started on achieving your career goals!
