The Thunder Bay area is rich with natural beauty providing an optimal environment to observe and understand ecological systems. Confederation College campus itself is a forested area within the city that offers convenient access for individual course field exercises. Our campus boasts many computer, technical, and scientific labs for a hands on experience with current technology such as our newly updated G.I.S. (Geographical Information Systems) computer lab where students will learn mapping skills. Our campus also inhabits the “Forestry Center” providing an "in house" link to industry and government. Dendrology classes for plant identification are taken at the Lakehead University campus where extensive plant sample collections are stored.
