Field Placements

Hospitality Management students are required to participate in local field placements.  Students in the first and fourth semesters will experience working alongside professionals in the hospitality industry.  Placements will be scheduled based on each student's preference and availability during the semester.  Work placements are evaluated for a credit as part of the overall program.  We have a list of approved hospitality employers located throughout Thunder Bay where students can work. The Valhalla Inn, Victoria Inn, Airlane Travel Lodge, Caribou Restaurant, Giorg Ristorante, Bistro One are a few of our work placement opportunities.  It is very common for a student to eventually gain employment with their work placement after school.
