Business Administration - Human Resources

Are you a relationship-oriented individual, naturally comfortable with people in any situation? These attributes open the doors to Human Resources, which requires high emotional intelligence, a common trait amongst HR professionals. HR professionals work in both management and union positions and share a common desire to work and see others work in a healthy and safe environment. An HR professional understands the importance of following policies and procedures, but also has the intuition to know when it would be best to be flexible. They need to look for solutions to sometimes complicated problems, blending theory, experience and gut instinct.

Students graduating from the three-year Business Administration-Human Resources Diploma Program are eligible (subject to some grade level requirements) to write the National Knowledge Exams under the auspices of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA). For further information regarding the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) visit http://www.hrpa.ca

This 3-year program also includes 4 months of full-time, hands-on work experience through a work placement.
