Our world is moving towards a digital renaissance where art and logic converge to produce revolutionary interactive experiences on a host of new devices. The Internet has completely changed the way we consume media and this program will help you learn how to create exciting interactive media.

Over three years, you will explore the art of Interactive Design, strengthen your 2D and 3D design skills, see your art move with animation and motion graphics and publish your work to the Internet and a host of other digital formats.

During your fourth and fifth semesters, you will focus on the creation of a professional portfolio designed to ensure employability and prepare you for a full fifteen-week job placement in Canada or even abroad.

We enjoy 8 studios that boast an impressive collection of the most up-to-date software including:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects, Web Development Suite, InDesign, Acrobat Professional, Bridge, Audition and many, many more.
  • A host of open source applications for web programming, interactive design and audio engineering.
  • The Autodesk Entertainment Suite, including 3DS Max, Maya, SoftImage, Motion Builder and MudBox
  • VRay for highly realistic rendering of 3D models and animation.
  • Awesome preproduction tools, like Celtx and Adobe Story for planning your projects.
  • And many more

Our 8 studio spaces are fully complimented with the best hardware in the industry, including:

  • Two primary labs housing 50 production systems for 2D, 3D, interactive and motion design. Both labs run Windows and OS X for maximum exposure to industry software.
  • A digital photography studio with 8 Macs attached to a large format Epson K3 printer for poster-sized output. The space was engineered to allow for accurate colour management, image manipulation and printing.
  • A Vicon, Portable Optical Motion Capture Facility for rapid generation of natural human motion.
  • A MOTU multitrack, fully automated recording studio with acoustically treated sound booth. This facility includes a large compliment of fantastic microphones.
  • Two photo studios that include a complete set of studio flashers, reflectors, soft boxes, backdrops and modelling lights.
