Chile and Brazil 2012 Summer Studies Programs
Would you like to experience the rich culture of Chile? Want to see Brazil? Gain a GE credit like no other. The International Education Centre (IEC) is excited to offer students an opportunity to study in Latin America this May and June.
Through a partnership with INACAP University in Santiago, Chile, students will be immersed in a four-week curriculum focusing on Chilean culture, food, and the Spanish language. Tuition is free, however students are required to cover all travel, accommodation and living expenses, estimated at $3,000+. Flights and accommodations are coordinated by the IEC.
The IEC has also worked with another one of our partners in Brazil to provide a similar program in June 2012. Learn a little Portuguese, sample Brazilian Cuisine, learn about the culture and visit nearby Brazilian Cities ...
The most exciting part about this Brazil program is that the costs are minimal to you! The program offered by our contacts in Brazil is FREE! Accommodation at local home stays will be FREE as well! You only have to pay for your food which is around $20.00 per day, phone calls and personal items.
Students must be enrolled in a full-time, post secondary program to participate in this program; they must have completed at least one year of studies prior to departure and must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Consult the application package for more details.
Some scholarships are available to Canadian students to help defray costs (scholarships are not automatically available, and will be awarded through a competitive process). A separate application is required to apply for these scholarships.
The deadline to apply has now passed.
