Confederation College has partnerships with several Chinese colleges and universities for the delivery of some of our programs under a joint-diploma program model.
ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers are required for a minimum of a one year period, starting in September each year. Qualifications include a teaching degree &/or TEFL certification in addition to at least two years of teaching experience. Benefits typically include:
- Flight costs reimbursed
- Assistance with visa and working papers
- Free accommodation
- Some schools include food subsidies
- Some health insurance coverage
- Paid vacation during the winter break
- On occassion, a bonus is paid on completion of the first full year of instruction
Some short-term experience opportunities may be available for teaching students who are about to graduate. The benefits listed above would not apply.
