Welcome to the Library

Our mission is to provide innovative and high quality library services that support the curriculum and connect learners to information.

Course Support

Following is a summary of services offered to faculty from the Library:

AV Previews

  • Library staff will assist faculty in locating course related videos, DVDs
  • Material can be requested for purchase, preview or rental
  • Performance rights are required for all visual material used in a classroom

Course Reserves

  • Faculty may request that an item be placed on Reserve for their students. Bring items to the 2nd floor Library Desk (if the item is in the library's collection, supply the title to staff and the item will be pulled for reserve)
  • To find items you have placed on reserve, search under Reserves in the Library Catalogue
  • Faculty may also submit the online Reserve Request Form for items located in the Library collection.

Collection Development

  • Help to build the library's collection to further support your program by suggesting titles for the library to purchase
  • Contact the Library Consultant for your program to discuss your needs

  • The Library provides photo ID for all Faculty in Thunder Bay

Library Instruction & Orientation

Media Booking

  • Looking for a video to show in class? Book a video/DVD in advance from the Library collection
  • Need audiovisual equipment?  Check out the equipment available in the Library for booking

My Account

  • My Account is your personal access to your library account, where you can check your record of items on loan, change your PIN, update your contact information, or renew books. You must first obtain your PIN from the 2nd floor Library Desk or via the Get my PIN request form.

My EBSCOhost

  • If you do any personal research, why not create a personal research folder in "EBSCOhost". Click on the "My Ebscohost" tab and follow the instructions. You can save all your research in this folder online!
