Interactive Workshops will include:
My Library: Join us for an interactive orientation of your college library. We will introduce you to research basics and various tools that will help you succeed in your chosen program. Check out what the library has to offer: books, journals, article databases, course reserves, e-journals, e-books, videos, equipment, study rooms, computers, and finally, expert friendly advice!
Savvy Scheduling: Learn how to be more productive and time efficient. This workshop will help you explore your time management characteristics and create realistic, individualized schedules for a week, month or semester.
Tackling Textbooks: Learn the techniques for understanding your readings better. Participants will learn how to identify key textbook concepts, focus on main topics and remember what has been read. Adapt the methods learned to your own textbooks!
Noteworthy Note Taking: This workshop uses hands-on exercises and suggestions on how to be a more effective note taker and write clearer, comprehensive, organized notes and also offers tips of how notes can be better remembered.
