TRAINING
Basic Underground Hard Miner Common Core
The Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner-Common Core Program is a comprehensive program that helps to prepare individuals for the safety and operational demands of work in the field of hard rock mining. This program will help prepare you for employment in entry–level jobs in the mining industry. Training will follow the Modular Training Standards set out by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU).
This program is delivered through the joint cooperation of Confederation College, Northshore Campus and Barrick Hemlo-Williams Operating Cooperation.

PROJECTS
AETS - Natural Resources - A partnership with AETS who represent 8 First Nation communities east of Thunder Bay. This initiative includes training linked to the Natural Resource Sector. Training ranges from Foundation and Essential Skills training through to Heavy Equipment Operator, Production Worker, Sawmill training.
