Patricia Lang ‘Principal for a Day’ at Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute
(Thunder Bay, February, 24 2010) -
To gain additional insight on the high-school experience and transition into postsecondary education, Patricia Lang, President of Confederation College, sat alongside Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute Principal Wayne Fletcher as ‘Principal for a Day’.
“In 2009, Confederation College received a record number of applications from high school students. For the 2010 academic year we are already seeing an increase in students applying to college,” said Patricia Lang. “As ‘Principal for a Day’ I hope to find out more about how we, as a college community, can assist in the transition.”
“We have a growing relationship with Confederation College and this is an opportunity for students to learn more about what the college has to offer,” said Principal Wayne Fletcher.
Patricia Lang addressed high school students who had already applied to Confederation College for the coming academic year. Student Alex Luty, won a $500 book bursary from Confederation College.
