Margaret Trudeau visits our Water Treatment Plant
(Thunder Bay, February, 8 2012) -
After her well-received talk to a large crowd in the Student Commons at Confederation College, Margaret Trudeau discussed with a smaller group of faculty, staff and administrators about the therapeutic benefits of community service. Margaret spoke of her work with WaterCan ...
and the visits she’s made to developing countries in Africa.
An invitation was extended to Margaret to tour the water treatment lab and she immediately accepted. Margaret’s visit to the Water Treatment Education, Training and Research Centre was very positive. She was excited to see the potential Confederation College has created in offering education and training for clean water in rural and remote communities. She is very concerned about the needs of the northern communities. She was thoroughly impressed that Confederation College had built such a facility that will allow students a hands-on experience to learn about clean water and water treatment.

John Kantola - Associate Dean, School of Engineering Technology and Trades showcases Confederation's Water Treatment Education, Training and Research Centre to guest Margaret Trudeau.
