Help a Child Grow and Discover
A child’s first years are extremely important for their development. This is the time when children learn the most, and when teachers can make the greatest difference in their lives. Are you someone who wants to make a difference?
Confederation College’s Early Childhood Education program is designed to give students a broad education in the theory of Early Childhood Education, child development, early childhood curriculum, and pedagogy. You’ll get the skills and knowledge you need to plan educational programs and play environments to nurture each child’s development and learning, making a real difference in their lives. Courses cover a wide range of ECE topics including play-based learning; effective interpersonal communication; child development; working with families; guidance; and health, safety, and wellness.
- Program includes three field placements so that you can learn in real-world environments
- A demonstration classroom is used by faculty to create hands-on learning experiences for students to learn about curriculum and the development of young children
- Also offered as an accelerated program for those with a BA BEd degree in Primary Junior Education from an accredited University in Ontario
- Course content follows the most current and relevant trends in professional practice
