Skilled Trades & Technology Competitions for all Students
The Regional Skills Competition is a significant investment in young people! The events are designed to showcase the technical talents of students from all Northwestern Ontario schools. The Competition provides an excellent opportunity to:
- Support student learning of trades and technology;
- Demonstrate an exemplary collaboration between the private and education sectors;
- Prepare students to be the future workforce;
- Showcase the benefits of trades and technology careers;
-
Recognize youth for outstanding achievement related to the trades and technology field.
Students may participate in any one of the competitions indicated from the list of 2009 - 2010 competitions for their grade level. Each regional contest is planned, organized, and judged by a volunteer committee of practitioners from the private, labour, and education sectors. The Competition is made possible by the sponsorship of the Boards of Education, Confederation College, Labour Organizations, and many businesses in Northwestern Ontario.
